Take a break, take a breath

The Italia Nomad Fest manifesto

We believe the future of travel is about creating deeper connections between people, places and local communities.

Our mission

Come as a nomad.
Leave as a local.

Hands framing the Italia Nomad Fest logo

We put Italian communities on the map of digital nomadism while protecting what makes each place distinct. Remote work can distribute opportunity, encourage cultural exchange and support a more sustainable, year-round model of tourism.

For nine days, Palermo becomes a meeting point: not an isolated nomad bubble, but a shared space where visitors and residents learn from one another. Brave enough to leave. Wise enough to belong.

Become a temporary citizen.

Come as a nomad. Leave as a local. We invite people to stay curious, take part in everyday life and build a relationship with Palermo based on respect, exchange and responsibility, not passive consumption.

Travel lightly. Care deeply.

Sustainable tourism begins with better choices: staying longer, supporting local businesses, respecting the environment and understanding the culture of the place that welcomes us. We stay longer. We care deeper.

Build belonging, not bubbles.

Digital nomads and local communities should not live in parallel worlds. We create real encounters, shared conversations and relationships that continue beyond the festival. Not tourists: temporary citizens.

Create value beyond the season.

Travel can help places thrive throughout the year. By gathering in Palermo outside the traditional high season, we support de-seasonalisation and work with local organisations, businesses and institutions so that opportunities remain rooted in the territory.

“We stay longer. We care deeper. Not tourists, temporary citizens.”
