Eight days to meet, share ideas and experience Palermo together. The first Italia Nomad Fest brought digital nomads and local communities together through work, culture and new connections.

Co-organised by BeetCommunity and Nomad Retreats, the first edition centred on Villa Niscemi and extended into Palermo’s neighbourhoods. Talks and workshops were paired with walks, cultural visits, shared meals and opportunities to meet local residents.
The idea was simple: create opportunities for remote workers and local people to get to know one another, exchange experiences and build relationships that could continue beyond the festival.
Figures reported by the organisers in the 2026 edition recap. Party attendances count visits across different events and may include the same person more than once; they are not unique participants. Tickets sold and digital nomads welcomed are separate counts.
The organisers estimate that participants stayed in Palermo for around 20 days on average, with a local economic impact of approximately €500,000, based on a calculation of €498,960. These are organisers’ estimates, separate from participation counts.
