Palermo meets Fukuoka: a connection that travels both ways
Our partnership with Colive Fukuoka opens a conversation between Italy and Japan about community, meaningful work and feeling at home in a new city.
Some connections make the world feel smaller. Others make your world bigger. Our partnership with Colive Fukuoka is an invitation to experience both.
Two cities, a shared curiosity
Palermo and Fukuoka have different rhythms, cultures and stories. What brings our communities together is a shared interest in the people behind a place: the founders, creatives, local businesses and neighbours who turn a destination into somewhere you can belong.
Colive Fukuoka's 2026 main programme runs from 1 to 10 October in Fukuoka, Japan. Its workation format brings international participants and local talent together around personal growth, entrepreneurship and ikigai, the search for purpose in everyday life.
A partnership built on exchange
For Italia Nomad Fest, this collaboration is a chance to keep learning beyond Palermo. How can we welcome people into a community? What makes an encounter meaningful? And how can international connections create something valuable for the people already living there?
The exchange also has a practical next chapter: BeetCommunity is preparing to represent the Italian ecosystem in Japan, with Colive Fukuoka expected in Palermo for the second Italia Nomad Fest. We want the conversations started in one city to find new energy in the other.
Follow the connection
Explore Colive Fukuoka and imagine where this conversation could take you. Then bring your ideas back to Palermo from 6 to 14 March 2027. There is always room at the table for another perspective.
