We are nomads. We chose a life beyond borders, carrying our work in our backpacks and our dreams across continents. But somewhere along the way, we realized something was missing. Too often, we found ourselves in bubbles made of other nomads, inspiring, yes, but cut off from the people and the culture of the places that hosted us.

We don’t want to be just better tourists. We want to belong. We want to truly meet, learn from, and live alongside the locals who open their cities and their lives to us. Because the real reason we keep moving is not the food or the weather, it’s the people. The moments of connection. Cooking the shared meals. Watching stunning sunsets together. The feeling of finding a tribe, a community that feels like home no matter where we are.

Italia Nomad Fest was born to make this happen. A festival for the nomads and for the locals. A place where workshops, talks, and shared experiences break the wall between visitors and residents, creating friendships, collaborations, and stories that last beyond the event.

And Palermo is where it begins. A city of crossroads, where cultures have always met and mixed, where hospitality is not a service but a tradition. Here, nomads and locals come together to imagine a new way of living and traveling, one that doesn’t destroy culture, like mass tourism often does, but protects and celebrates it.
